So, I had a two part dream last night. In the first part of the dream, I dreamt that I was a bride, dressed in soft gown of white. But I was in two places at once. I saw myself waiting to go down the aisle to get married, and then I saw myself, still as a bride, sitting in the audience. I saw the groom, and I knew who the groom was, he was standing in a plain pair of jeans and a grungy t-shirt. My heart sank to my chest and everything inside of me was screaming to not walk down the aisle, and myself in the audience crouched down and hid as to not be seen. I knew with every fiber of my being that this was not who God had intended for me, and that this particular person was not prepared for marriage; case in point the jeans and t-shirt. Not only that but he had a mop in his hand and was seemingly cleaning the altar to where we were supposed to stand and be joined together. After that, I woke up and was slightly shaken, and it took me some time to get back to sleep, but once I did the second part to this dream began. In the second and last part of my dream I was once again, dressed as a bride, preparing for my wedding ceremony. This time I was in a different dress, one more suited to the style of what I would wear were I to be married currently. I was walking through what seemed to be the Church where I would have the ceremony and was walking into a room where I saw one of my friends who was alone and playing the cello. I asked them if they knew where everyone was to which they simply replied with a shrug and began to play. I continued on with my search and found myself in front of a door. It was an ordinary door but in my heart of hearts I knew that my beloved, the man to whom I would give my whole life to that day, was behind the door. I didn’t try to open it because I knew as tradition would say, “It’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding” but to my surprise the door swung wide open and a light so radiant beamed brightly into the dimly lit room where I was standing. And that was how my dream ended. I’ve been pondering and replaying these dreams over and over again in my head all day. I know that they were both symbolic in their own ways and believed them to be confirmation and encouragement from the Lord. The Lord spoke a word over me at the beginning of this year, “Be Still.” For a girl that's always doing something, going somewhere, and so forth, this is not exactly what I wanted to hear, but it was what I NEEDED to hear. So this is for you, Ariana, and all you ladies that are waiting for the man that God has predestined and chosen specifically for you. In Isaiah 40:31 we are reminded that “those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength” we are also reminded of His promise in Psalms 37:3-5 “Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will prove for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!” HIS TIMING IS PERFECT! The last part of my dream was an encouraging reminder that He has not forgotten about me, I have not been looked over, that the man that I so desire is coming. All I need to do is to be still, and wait for my promise to be fulfilled. If you’ve read this far, THANK YOU! I truly hope that this has encouraged you in some way shape or form. I’ve shed tears as I've written this, but tears of healing and peace; knowing in an all trust God. I leave you with one of my all time favorite verses. Jeremiah 29:11-13 “I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes when you get serious about finding me and wait it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.”
