I’ll be there for You

Hello, my friends! I know it's been a while since I've posted! It's been a wildly busy, crazy, amazing year and I am happy to finally be typing away late at night again!

We all know that famous theme song from the popular sitcom "Friends." The other night, I was awakened in the middle of the night with the tune playing in my head, and I heard the Lord say in a quiet voice, "That's who I am." I chuckled softly so as not to wake my husband next to me, and I lay there pondering how the Lord and that song were correlated.” There’s a part in the song that says, “No one could ever know me, no one could ever see me. Seems you’re the only one who knows what it’s like to be me. Someone to face the day with, make it through all the rest with. Someone I’ll always laugh with, even at my worst, I’m best with you.” It reminded me of Isaiah 41:10, “Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.” At times, we may feel like nobody can comprehend our struggles or situations. However, Jesus has promised never to abandon us. His loyalty is unwavering, and we can have faith that He will always be there for us, no matter what we are going through. This is the ultimate reassurance that we can find comfort in.

But what if we are missing the answered prayers because we are too busy being focused on what we are still waiting for? I was recently reminded by a sweet friend around Thanksgiving that I am living in an answered prayer. But, like, I am literally LIVING in an answered prayer. Part of the reason it's been so long since I've written is that my husband and I finally found a house we loved and moved in around mid-April. Our home is an answered prayer. To some, it may seem silly, but I got my dreamy spacious kitchen with big windows full of beautiful natural light. I got my fireplace that I can use with a mantle to decorate for all the holidays and seasons! We have a nice-sized backyard where we can relax and dream together in a quaint and quiet neighborhood with some of the sweetest neighbors! A home big enough that we were able to host our first Thanksgiving and quite a few shindigs with our friends and family! I love being a hostess, and I am THRIVING, friends! But wait...there's more! Fast forward to late summer, and I received a message about potentially becoming a writer for a Christian magazine that one of my girlfriends was starting up. She didn't realize that I had been praying since the beginning of the year for the Lord to expand my territory and present me with more opportunities to speak and write for others to see, hear, and read. I am overjoyed to say that I am indeed a writer for this magazine now, and we will be launching our first edition around mid-January 2025! God is so good, just like the theme song from Friends, He truly is there for us. I am living proof and testament to that, and you can't tell me otherwise! So, as I come to a close of my now very sleepy brain, I want to encourage you all with this. Don't get so caught up in what you don't have right now or what you can't see. Remind yourself of the answered prayers that you currently have and or are living out! The Lord is faithful to carry out his good works to completion, that's a promise we can hold onto!

Psalm 111:1-8, "Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness."
